Every Halloween, there’s at least one costume that gets more love than others to the point where you can’t roam the streets or hit up a party without seeing a dozen of them. This year, however, you can plan ahead so that won’t be you. Thankfully, Google has done us the solid of releasing the most popular costumes of 2016, aka every costume you don’t want to wear if you’re hoping to stand out.
It’s not without surprises either. If you are a creature of the internet, specifically Twitter, you might be shocked to find out that the top Googled costume isn’t Eleven from the cult favorite Netflix show Stranger Things. Instead, Suicide Squad breakout character Harley Quinn has that honor (and her on-screen counterpart Joker holds down the number two slot). It’s also surprising because the costume was also a favorite last year, when Margot Robbie’s alterego ranked number three on this list. Considering her character is getting her own spinoff movie, there’s a chance you’ll see it again next year, too.
Other pop culture themes on the list include Mermaids, which have become the unofficial mascot of the social media era, where people obsess over everything from Mermaid Hair to Mermaid Thighs.
Then, higher up on the list, you’ll find Star Wars—which was the number one most googled costume last year—and an array of superhero costumes inspired by movies like Wonder Woman and Batman.
