Introducing Swoleesi, The Fitness Instagrammer Who Looks Just Like Khaleesi From ‘Game Of Thrones’

Daenerys Targaryen (AKA Khaleesi) from Game of Thrones is a badass boss. And when she isn’t conquering the world or riding dragons, we imagine that she’s slaying her HIIT workouts and crushing those burpees like she does her enemies. Since posting from the gym isn’t exactly the norm in the Seven Kingdoms, we bring you the next best thing: a glimpse of what the Mother of Dragons’ workouts might look like thanks to the fitness Instagram account @Swoleesi.

The account is run by 21-year-old San Diego-based certified personal trainer Amber Abweh and shows just what Khaleesi’s #gymlife routine might entail. “Game of Thrones is probably one of my favorite shows,” Abweh tells SELF. “When I decided to go lighter with my hair, everyone kept calling me buff Khaleesi in person and on social media because I looked similar to her, just with more muscle. I would get double takes by people walking down the street, and have them come up to me asking where my dragons were. It’s awesome to be compared to such an impactful character, so I decided to own it!”

Abweh is also a competitive powerlifter. “My only goal is to get stronger,” she says. To do that she trains four or five days a week and focuses on powerlifting movements including the squat, bench, and deadlift. It’s also helped her feel more comfortable with her body. “Powerlifting has been the best thing that has happened to me because I used to always feel insecure about my body. Now IDGAF what people think of my body because I know what it’s capable of,” she has said on Instagram.
