Sarah Jessica Parker’s Black Wedding Dress Is One Of Her Fashion Regrets

Sarah Jessica Parker can do no wrong when it comes to fashion. I mean, she killed it in everything that she wore on Sex and the City as Carrie Bradshaw, and her red-carpet style is real-life #goals. But the 51-year-old actress does have one fashion moment that she isn’t so proud of. Back in 1997, Parker married Matthew Broderick in a black Morgane Le Fay wedding dress. And while it sparked a bridal trend, she regrets walking down the aisle in the ruffled ball gown.

While promoting her new HBO show Divorce on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, she explained it all. “Oh, I wish it was because I was a badass,” said Parker. “I just was too embarrassed to spend any time looking for a wedding dress. There was a store that I liked, and I just went and got whatever they had hanging.” Parker and Broderick are coming up on their 20th wedding anniversary. Maybe she’ll get a second chance at choosing a dress for a vow renewal ceremony?
